I wish I were a child again
So that I can experience childhood again

I wish I were a child again
But with my present consciousness
So I can avoid the experiences that now cripple me.

But with my understanding of human nature
So I can understand why my mother was overprotective
So I could have told her that she trusted her child with the wrong people

I wish I were a child again
But with the workings of my memory now
So I can remember the chunk of my life that is missing
So I could know not to suppress my bad experiences So I can be whole again
